  • Although not a very credible source, article is short and to the point.
  • Would help my argument because it talks about the good things that come out of a sibling relationship.
  • “Studies have shown that siblings are important sources of advice, support, and companionship throughout our lives.”

  • Interesting because the advantages to having an older child were depicted by me as disadvantages.
  • For example: “only child gets best material things”
  • This entails that having more than one child means hand me downs, which I can’t deny, can be the case in some homes. Hand me downs aren’t the worst and after all, giving a child what they want and the best quality of it could make them materialistic. It’s important to take note of the fact that the most valuable things are items one cannot purchase. A store cannot provide you with unconditional love. A sibling can. Yes of course, parents do (hopefully they do and aren’t neglectful) but a sibling relationship isn’t like a parent relationship, they’re distinct.
  • I would love to pick at all of the advantages this authors mentions and prove that they’re disadvantages.

  • liked this website because it has many stats on adults with no children and how it’s better than those with children
  • good counter argument material
  • Could be useful for the end of my introduction where I state the opposite viewpoint

ONLY CREDIBLE SOURCE I HAVE FOUND SO FAR

  • also has many stats on adults with and without kids
  • Touches upon financial status differences among both groups:
  • “only a 5% difference in income—between those with and without children”
